🏖️ The most beautiful spots around Las Terrenas

Playa Bonita:
An iconic beach, perfect for relaxing, surfing, and enjoying the sunset.

Playa Cosón:
A long, wild beach, ideal for walks and peaceful moments.

Playa Frontón:
Accessible by boat from Las Galeras, or via the Boca del Diablo hike (about 45 minutes). Turquoise water, cliffs, and exceptional snorkeling.

El Limón Waterfall:
A must-see in the region. A hike leads you to a beautiful natural waterfall.

✈️ How to get to Las Terrenas

  • Samaná – El Catey (AZS) — ~30 min

The closest airport to Las Terrenas. There are a few direct flights from North America and Europe, but frequencies are limited.

  • Santo Domingo – Las Américas (SDQ) — ~2h30

The most convenient and best-connected airport. It is often the easiest option if you are coming from Europe or the United States.

  • Punta Cana (PUJ) — ~5h

A very well-connected airport with many international flights. The journey to Las Terrenas is longer, but often more affordable overall.

🚕 Private transfer to Las Terrenas

Taxi transfers from Santo Domingo or Punta Cana can be expensive, but they are often necessary if you arrive after 4:00 PM, as the last bus to Las Terrenas usually leaves around 6:00 PM.

  • Punta Cana → Las Terrenas (~5h): from 300 USD
